It was reported last weekend that West Ham are still interested in the £8 million winger, with The Sun claiming that the Spaniard would jump at the chance to join Bilic's side.
The Irons have brought in five players this summer and the Croat admitted that he would love to bring in another one, in response to being asked about the 26-year-old.
“Again, a good player but to be fair we have done the business," he said via Football London when asked about the Championship star.
"One more I would love but if we have to sell one, even then, maybe. But the other positions, we done our priorities – right back, centre forward and left wing."
There is no guarantee he would be effective in the Premier League, a risk taken by every manager when they sign a player who has never graced England's top flight, but Bilic, based on his transfer business so far, seems to prefer tried-and-tested talent this time around.
Four of his five summer recruits - Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta, Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic - have plenty of experience in this division and the former Besiktas coach may feel as if that's the way forward.
