Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Everton are set to make a £22.5 million offer for Fiorentina striker Nikola Kalinic.
Everton are still on the hunt for a prolific striker after losing Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United this summer.
Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney have been brought in but the consensus is that the Toffees will hedge their bets by recruiting another striking option before the window shuts.
And according to the Italian journalist, that man could be Kalinic, who scored 15 Serie A goals in 26 starts last season - and 20 in 32 starts across all competitions.
The Croatia international has previously had a failed stint with Blackburn Rovers, scoring seven times in 44 Premier League games, and some Everton fans aren't keen on the idea of signing the 29-year-old.

To be fair efc tried to sign kalinic last summer as cover for lukaku..la viola wanted to much though. I personally think efc will sign him— Jonathan Cuerden (@JonathanCuerde1) August 10, 2017
Not entirely convinced on Kalinic. Clear he has impressed in Italy but good enough for the Premier League? Time will tell.— Scott Morris (@Scott_MorrisEfc) August 10, 2017

Kalinic must have done something really wrong in a previous life if he ends up at Everton.— pfeifferchild (@pfeifferchild) August 10, 2017
If the report is accurate then Everton fans don't have to worry about seeing him on Merseyside, given it claims that Kalinic has his heart set on a move to AC Milan.
Ronald Koeman's side kick off their Premier League season with a visit of Stoke City on Saturday.
