Huddersfield Town winger Joe Lolley is reportedly wanted by Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.

According to a report in The Daily Mail earlier this month, Aston Villa are interested in signing Joe Lolley from Premier League outfit Huddersfield Town in the summer transfer window.

It was reported that Championship club Villa are considering making a loan move for the 24-year-old winger.

Barnsley, Sheffield United and Sunderland are also reported to be interested in the former Kidderminster Harriers winger.

While it remains to be seen if Villa will get to secure the services of Lolley on a loan deal, the Villa Park faithful should rest assured that there would be no lack of passion from him.

That’s because Lolley is a Villa fan and used to sit on Holte End as a kid, as reported by The Birmingham Mail in August 2016.

The Birmingham Mail also quoted the winger as saying just how excited he was to face Villa last season.

“I’m so excited,” the Huddersfield winger told The Birmingham Mail before the match in August 2016. “It’s going to be a very surreal feeling for me.

“I’ve followed the club all my life so if I play, or come on from the bench, or even if it’s just looking up from the pitch at the Holte End where I used to sit, it will be massive for me.

“I’ve never even been on the Villa Park pitch so you can imagine how pleased I was when I saw the game was so early in the season.”

Lolley actually started the match at Villa Park and played for the first 45 minutes, as the Championship game ended in 1-1 draw.

One suspects that the winger must have enjoyed playing against the club he supports, and he would be even more overjoyed if he gets the chance to play for them.

Lolley is a good winger, and the 24-year-old would be a decent signing for Villa and would bring a lot of passion into Steve Bruce’s team.
