The Owls failed to register a single (meaningful) shot on target during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Preston, but will perhaps take confidence from their four-goal haul against Chesterfield - who are, albeit, a side from two divisions below them.
Head coach Carlos Carvalhal made six changes to his midweek starting eleven, and while Joe Wildsmith, David Jones, Almen Abdi and Ross Wallace did little harm to their chances of starting against the R's, none will likely be as confident of retaining their places as Steven Fletcher and Gary Hooper.
Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal
Wednesday's fresh strike-force grabbed a goal apiece at Hillsborough, and linked up nicely overall - although an improved supply line certainly aided their cause.
Carvalhal could therefore continue with Wallace on the right of midfield and Adam Reach at left-back, although Abdi's lack of fitness may cost him his place - with talisman Fernando Forestieri a probable replacement, opposite Wallace.
Key trio Keiren Westwood, Glenn Loovens and Sam Hutchinson should also return in place of Wildsmith, Daniel Pudil and Jones, respectively.
But summer recruits George Boyd and Jordan Rhodes may have to settle for a place on the bench.
Here's how we expect the Owls to look against QPR - but which players get your vote?
