Dean Saunders had urged Liverpool to try and land Tottenham's Harry Kane.
Former Wales international striker Dean Saunders struck a controversial note yesterday when he urged Liverpool to sign Harry Kane.
If they got £120 million tomorrow, if I was Klopp, I'd make an offer for Dele Alli or Harry Kane because Tottenham seem to be selling players, they're available," he told The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT.
"What does Dele Alli do then if he knows Liverpool are interested in him and they can treble his wages? They'd improve Liverpool, them two."
They certainly would improve Liverpool's side, but there is not much chance of the pair swapping clubs.
Ex-Spurs defender Graham Roberts mocked the suggestion via Twitter, asking why Kane would want to go to Liverpool.

Tottenham defender Danny Rose may be another matter considering Liverpool's need for a left-back, and the defender's unhappiness at the lack of ambition shown at the club this summer.
Kane and Alli are untouchable and even Europe's big guns like Real Madrid and Barcelona know it.
Liverpool will need to make a splash if they sell Coutinho, but don't expect Harry Kane to be rocking up at Anfield wearing anything other than a Tottenham kit.
