Celtic thrashed Kilmarnock 5-0 on Tuesday evening.
Celtic made it two wins in a matter of days in domestic action as they hammered Kilmarnock 5-0 in the Scottish League Cup on Tuesday night.
The Bhoys opened their league campaign with a 4-0 home thumping of Hearts, and Brendan Rodgers' men followed that up with another convincing victory despite making a host of changes.
Leigh Griffiths scored twice in that win over Hearts and opened the scoring for Celtic against Kilmarnock too, before Anthony Ralston grabbed his first goal for the club and Griffiths bagged his second of the game.
Captain Kieran Tierney added the fourth, and midfielder Stuart Armstrong rounded off the scoring to give the Bhoys a comfortable 5-0 home win over Lee McCulloch's side.
Celtic boss Rodgers mixed up his side, handing starts to youngsters such as Ralston, Kristoffer Ajer, Calvin Miller and Eboue Kouassi, as well as summer signing Kundai Benyu.
Benyu, 19, came up through the ranks with Ipswich Town but turned down a new contract to stay at Portmand Road this summer, instead heading to Celtic at the end of his deal with the Tractor Boys - and the teenager split opinion with his display against Kilmarnock.
Some were encouraged by Benyu's display, suggesting that he looks like an exciting player for the future and has the attributes to be a star, but just needs some polishing up during his time at Celtic.
However, others were far from impressed with Benyu's display, suggesting that he was 'all over the place' against Kilmarnock and may need a loan move elsewhere in order to play regularly this season, as he simply isn't ready to feature on a consistent basis for Celtic just yet.
Benyu's no ready yet imo. Looks good but a wee bit all over the place.— Stephen A. (@CrumbsTMT) August 8, 2017
Celtic were great tonight. Really impressed. Miller and Ralston were excellent. Eboue good before injury. Jury still out on Benyu. KT is god— Ruri Ando (@BhoyHero) August 8, 2017
Benyu made a right arse of it tonight hahaha— Jack Gordon (@JackoGordon) August 8, 2017
Benyu was a bit disappointing though think he was trying too hard though— Paul (@PaulMc1995) August 8, 2017
Ralston, Miller, Ajer all really impressive, Benyu in flashes as well looks like a potentially exciting player, CELTIC— Big Fat Doh (@Mick_Doh) August 8, 2017
Seeing some #Celtic fans suggesting Benyu is struggling. Couldn't disagree anymore; fantastic debut - energy, pace, work ethic all there— Dominic Oliver (@DominicOliver82) August 8, 2017
Very impressed with Benyu tonight. Fitting into the family well. What a squad we have for this season— (@JustOkapi) August 8, 2017
Kundai Benyu is a class act and has a massive future, just a wee bit mental at times— Paul (@P__67) August 8, 2017
Ralston, Miller, Hayes and Ajer all been fantastic. Benyu's trying a bit too hard but you can see there's bags of potential there.— Kieren Kerr (@KierenKerr) August 8, 2017
Starting to really think Benyu needs a loan move to make his mark for this side. Miller has been better down the wing.— The Celtic Bhoys (@CelticBhoysFS) August 8, 2017
I'm glad we didn't send Kundai Benyu out on loan, he looks very capable of fitting in with this team at this level. Always wants the ball.— A Grand Auld Team (@FritzAGrandAuld) August 8, 2017
What did you think of Benyu's display against Kilmarnock?
