Celtic won against Heart of Midlothian at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

Chris Sutton has stated on social networking site Twitter that he was very impressed with the performance of Callum McGregor for Celtic against Heart of Midlothian on Saturday afternoon.

Celtic kicked off their 2017-18 Scottish Premiership campaign with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Hearts at home.

Leigh Griffiths scored twice for Brendan Rodgers’s side at Celtic Park, while Scott Sinclair and McGregor bagged a goal apiece.

Former Celtic striker Sutton was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of 24-year-old midfielder McGregor.

The Englishman, though, stated that it was poor goalkeeping from Craig Gordon for Hearts’ goal in the 84th minute.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Celtic had 69% of the possession, took 17 shots of which seven were on target, and earned nine corners, according to BBC Sport.

McGregor is a very good midfielder, and the 24-year-old could develop into a very important player for Celtic this season.

The manner in which Celtic hammered Hearts on Saturday proved that they could go yet another season in the Scottish Premiership without losing a single game.
