Trabzonspor have confirmed an interest in the Tottenham Hotspur winger.
Speaking to Turkish Football, Trabzonspor president Muharrem Usta has confirmed his intentions to sign Tottenham Hotspur dud Moussa Sissoko.
The French winger has been linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer after failing to live up to expectation following a £30 million switch 12 months ago.
A number of Premier League clubs - including West Brom and Everton - have been linked but the strongest report has come from Gunebakis, which claimed that the 27-year-old was keen on a switch to Turkey due to it being a predominantly Muslim country.
And the Trabzonspor supremo has confirmed his interest in the former Newcastle United star, but says Spurs aren't keen on giving up on their big investment just yet.
"We are in talks with Moussa Sissoko," Usta told Turkish Football.
"He is a very important player, Tottenham paid £35 million for him. He didn't live up to expectations last season but this can happen in football.
"We want to loan him and get his career back on track. Obviously Tottenham do not want to give up on a player they paid that kind of money for but we will see."
A loan does not suit Tottenham, who might prefer to sell him outright but, according to Transfermarkt, his value is now only around £16.2 million.
