Tottenham Hotspur fans felt that Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho would have been perfect.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left frustrated at their failure to make a move for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho this summer.

Leicester City are set to sign Iheanacho from Manchester City in the near future, according to the Telegraph.

And Spurs fans feel that the young Nigerian forward would have been the perfect addition for Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

Leicester have paid £25 million to sign Iheanacho, according to the Telegraph, with City putting a buy-back clause in the deal.

Iheanacho has scored 12 Premier League goals in 46 appearances for City, and is regarded as one of the top young talents in England.

The 20-year-old would have added competition for Harry Kane at Spurs for a place up-front.

Pochettino’s side are believed to be looking at signing a new striker, but they have struggled to find realistic additions so far this summer.

Tottenham are the only Premier League club yet to make a signing in the transfer window so far.
