West Ham United appear to be "winning" the transfer window according to a new online poll.
The Hammers were one of the first to do business this summer with the shrewd free transfer signing of experienced defender Pablo Zabaleta from Manchester City, solving their problem right back position.
But nearly two months passed since his arrival with no further recruits and the club's fans were not happy.
The likes of Keita Balde Diao and Jack Wilshere are other names being heavily linked with the London Stadium.
But in this day and age of eye watering transfer fees, it is the £16 million bargain capture of potent striker Hernandez which has caught the imagination the most, and not just with Hammers fans.
Mexico's all-time top scorer boasts a formidable record of a goal very 1.4 league starts during his career.
And at 29 Chicharito surely still has three or four years left at the top level.
While the proof - as always - will come on the pitch, West Ham's capture of Hernandez has impressed football fans across the country after thousands voted it the best signing of the summer so far.
The poll conducted by Sky Sports, has seen more than 200,000 football fans vote and the majority (32,000) voted Hernandez as the top signing from a choice of 21 transfers.
Hernandez beat world record signing Romelu Lukaku to top spot, a player which cost the Mexican's old club a whopping £74m more.

The East Londoners' move to sign England goalkeeper on a season long loan also won the approval of rival fans, being voted the seventh best signing of the summer at the halfway stage of the window with 13,000 votes - 11,000 more than new Manchester City stopper Ederson.
Arnautovic also makes it onto the list in 15th place with 4,700 votes, edging him above £55m defender Kyle Walker.
No doubt the argument between who was the better acquisition between Hernandez and Lukaku will go some way to being settled when West Ham travel to Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the season.
