West Ham United have been linked with the Ligue 1 playmaker recently.
Ryad Boudebouz has been linked with West Ham United this summer, with L'Equipe reporting that the Premier League side are interested.
The 27-year-old Algerian scored 11 times and set up nine in 33 Ligue 1 matches for Montpellier last season.
West Ham are in dire need of a creative spark after Robert Snodgrass proved himself a less-than-adequate replacement for Dimitri Payet, who joined Marseille in January.
But the Irons will need to act fast if they want him as France Football reported today that Real Betis have already lodged a bid for him, with Montpellier demanding up to £9 million.
And fans of the East London club, if Twitter is anything to go by, would love to see him join.
Apparently Boudebouz is open to West Ham move and were sending over bids so fingers crossed that we can finalise him looks quality— Alexander (@alexanderwhufc) July 30, 2017
Never heard of this Boudebouz, so he doesn't really excite me tbh.— West Ham Fan Zone (@WHUFCFZ) July 30, 2017
Good player but it's the French league— ⚒ Leon ⚒ (@djleon1983) July 30, 2017
Quina and Holland are not in the same league as Boudebouz IF we get him would be as big a signing as Hernandez.— WHUFC ⚒⭐ (@SV2K17) July 30, 2017
He's a very very good player, he's so creative. almost like Payet in some ways, would be an awesome option behind Lanzini/sub late in games— Jack (@Jvckist) July 30, 2017
I don't know why they do this Offer €10m for Riyad Boudebouz. It's peanuts and now Real Betis have made an offer. We have the money!— ⚒️ Nibbles ⚒️ (@NibblesWHU) July 31, 2017
get him in looks quality— Lenny Sherwood (@SherwoodLenny) July 31, 2017
West Ham have had a pretty summer on the transfer front, signing the likes of Javier Hernandez, Marko Arnautovic and Joe Hart in recent weeks, and the signing of Boudebouz would surely enhance the feel-good factor ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
