Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson has been linked with a move to Everton in the summer transfer window.

Former Celtic and Aston Villa striker Tony Cascarino predicted on Drive on talkSPORT on Thursday afternoon (broadcast from 4pm, July 27, 2017) that Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson will join Everton in the summer transfer window.

According to BBC Sport, Everton are interested in signing Sigurdsson from Premier League rivals Swansea in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Toffees have had a bid of £40 million for the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder rejected by the Swans, who are claimed to value him at £50m.

Former Chelsea striker Cascarino seems to be confident that the 27-year-old will make the switch from Swansea to Everton in the summer transfer window.

“I do think Sigurdsson will go," said Cascarino on Drive on talkSPORT on Thursday afternoon (broadcast from 4pm, July 27, 2017). "I can’t imagine Sigurdsson won’t be at Everton. I think that deal will definitely go through.”

Sigurdsson is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and he would be a brilliant signing for Tottenham this summer.

Swansea struggled for survival in the English top flight last season, and the former Reading man is better than that. Is Sigurdsson worth £50m, though?

The Iceland international midfielder scored nine goals and provided 13 assists in 38 Premier League appearances for the Swans last season.
