Leeds United and Oxford United will face each other in a pre-season friendly match this afternoon.
Leeds United will continue their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2017-18 campaign this afternoon when they take on Oxford United at home in a friendly.
The Championship club will head into the pre-season match at Elland Road with confidence and will be looking to produce a good performance.
One of the Leeds players who is likely to feature in the match is Kemar Roofe. The 24-year-old is a very talented and versatile player who can operate as a winger or as a striker.
The former West Bromwich Albion man played for Oxford during the 2015-16 season following a loan spell at the Kassam Stadium.
The 24-year-old's impressive performances for the U's saw him earn the move to Leeds in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth about £3 million.
Chris Allen, who is 44 years of age and works as an assistant head coach under Pep Clotet at Oxford, is looking forward to the reunion with Roofe and has made a joke about the Leeds man.
“It will be good to see Kemar, but hopefully he doesn’t run around too much and misses a few shots,” Allen told The Witney Gazette about facing Roofe.
“They have lots of other good players as well, but it’s what it’s all about – pitting your wits against good players and seeing where you’re at.”
