Walker-Peters is part of the Tottenham squad currently on their pre-season tour of the United States of America.
The 20-year-old defender is a right-back by trade, but the younger featured as a left-wing back against AS Roma in New Jersey.
The youngster also played on the left for England at the Under-20 World Cup in South Korea earlier this summer.
With Kyle Walker having left Tottenham for Manchester City in the summer transfer window, Kieran Trippier is set to become the first-choice right-back next season.
Walker-Peters could become the second-choice right-back, but there is also the possibility that Tottenham could sign a right-back in order to compete with Trippier.
Tottenham midfielder Winks, who himself is just 21 years of age, has said that his 20-year-old teammate is not going to buckle under pressure to impress Pochettino on the North London outfit’s tour of the US.
"There's always pressure to impress and do well,” Winks told Football.London about Walker-Peters. “I know Kyle personally. I don't think he'll let it get into his head and get nervous because of it.
“He’s someone who will just take it in his stride and he will continue to improve if he keeps doing that."
