Leeds United have been linked with Burton Albion midfielder Jackson Irvine recently.

HITC have broken the news that Leeds United are interested in signing Jackson Irvine from Burton Albion.

Irvine impressed at Burton last term, in what was his first season in the Championship.

The Australian international scored 10 goals in 42 appearances for Burton last term, which has caught the eye of Leeds’ scouts.

However, Whites fans do not appear to be particularly enthused about the rumours that another midfielder could join up.

Leeds already have a midfield which is stacked with options, and Thomas Christiansen’s squad is starting to look bloated.

Leeds do want more additions, but Whites supporters appear to believe that strengthening other areas of their squad is more important than bringing in more midfielders.

Christiansen’s men have already signed nine players this summer, with Leeds adding depth to their squad this summer.

Leeds’ competitive campaign gets under way in two weekends’ time when they take on Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium.
