Queens Park Rangers and Brentford are eyeing moves for Rangers midfielder Josh Windass, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Windass' future at Rangers is up in the air with Pedro Caixinha reshaping his squad at Ibrox and Windass could be the latest player to leave to make way for all the new signings at Rangers.

The 23-year-old joined Rangers last summer after signing a pre-contract to join the Scottish giants from Accrington Stanley last January.

Windass made 27 appearances, scoring one goal and creating five assists last season for Rangers, but the influx of several new signings has pushed him down the pecking order at Ibrox.

A number of clubs have been linked with a move for the attacking midfielder, but now QPR and Brentford could be ready to offer Windass a way out of Ibrox.

QPR are desperate to strengthen their squad after narrowly avoiding relegation from the Championship last season and they feel Windass could bolster their attacking options at Loftus Road.

Brentford are also keeping tabs on Windass' situation as they look to add to their squad before the start of the new Championship season and it seems certain Windass will leave Rangers to return to England.
