The Bayern Munich youngster would be an exceptional signing for Liverpool.
Reds boss Jürgen Klopp is desperate to add quality to his midfield options this summer, although his pursuit of RB Leipzig ace Naby Keita looks set to end in disappointment, with the Bundesliga side refusing to sell the 22-year-old.
With this in mind, Klopp will have to switch his focus elsewhere, and an interesting option for them could be Bayern Munich star Renato Sanches, who could be allowed to leave the Allianz Arena this summer.
"The market stops August 31 at the moment he is working with us and training with us. When we have time to take a decision together it can be a possibility. [It is] also a possibility he stays with us and helps us.”

The former Benfica man is reportedly available for just £23 million this summer, according to German media outlet Kicker, and that would represent fantastic value for Liverpool.
The Portugal international is exceptionally talented, and the powerful frame that he possesses for someone so young means that he should have no problem adjusting to the robust nature of the Premier League.
Sanches can play in either the deep-lying midfield role, from where he can dictate the tempo of the game, or a more orthodox central midfield position, where he can perform the box-to-box role with distinction.
The Bayern ace could form a formidable central midfield trio with Georginio Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson, and his potential arrival at Anfield would surely be a huge statement of intent from Klopp.
And for the £23 million being quoted for the Portuguese's signature, Liverpool really can't afford to miss out.
