Newcastle United fans believe the door has opened for Andy Carroll's return from West Ham United

Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez celebrates winning the league

Newcastle United fans are hoping Rafael Benitez snaps up West Ham United forward Andy Carroll.

Newcastle United fans believe that now is the time to bring Andy Carroll back to St. James’ Park, with Javier Hernandez moving to West Ham United.

Hernandez is set to be announced as a West Ham player in the near future, according to Sky Sports.

And Newcastle fans feel that Hernandez’s arrival at the London Stadium will knock Carroll down the pecking order.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is known to be a big fan of Carroll, but the target-man has struggled to stay off the treatment table in recent years.

Carroll’s career has never really kicked on since he left Newcastle back in 2011.

The England international has shown glimpses of promise, but his persistent injury problems have halted him.

Newcastle supporters still recognise the quality that Carroll could offer at St. James’ Park though.

And with Newcastle on the look out for a new front man, the powerful forward could be a very good option.
