Christian Eriksen is one of the best players at Tottenham Hotspur and has been linked with Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has suggested to Football.London that he does not plan to leave the club in the summer transfer window.

Eriksen is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League and has established himself as one of the most important players in the Tottenham team.

The 25-year-old Denmark international enjoyed yet another successful season in 2016-17, scoring eight goals and providing 15 assists in 36 Premier League appearances for Spurs.

According to a report on talkSPORT last month, Eriksen is on the radar of Spanish and European giants Barcelona.

Eriksen’s playing style, experience and attitude would make him perfect for Barcelona, but the former Ajax star has made it clear that he does not want to leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham's Christian Eriksen reacts

"I like living in London,” Eriksen told Football.London. “I wouldn’t have extended my contract if I didn’t.

“Even now you always see something new when you go into London, little shops popping up. The family have been here enough so I don’t need to show them around anymore.

"Playing for Spurs is special. I was saying to my girlfriend on holiday that I’d just realised it is going to be my fifth season here and it’s gone so quick.”

The North London outfit will be aiming to win the league title next season, and Eriksen will play a key role in Mauricio Pochettino's side’s quest.
