Tottenham Hotspur ran out 4-2 winners against the Ligue 1 club this weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur have some of the most exciting young players in the country coming through their ranks right now, but three of them are not present for their pre-season tour of the United States.
With Kazaiah Sterling, Marcus Edwards and Shayon Harrison all rested for this trip, some of Spurs' other talented teenagers have been given the opportunity to step up, and Tashan Oakley-Boothe was given a 45-minute run-out against Paris Saint-Germain this weekend.
Tottenham won the match 4-2 courtesy of goals from Christian Eriksen, Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane. However most eyes were on the likes of Oakley-Boothe, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Josh Onomah as they sought to stake a claim ahead of next season.
Oakley-Boothe may only be 17 but he did his best to impress against the Ligue 1 giants and, while he may struggle to break through in the next few years, he certainly has all the attributes to ultimately be a big hit in North London.
Tottenham may have been quiet in the summer transfer window so far, much to the frustration of some of their fans, yet Mauricio Pochettino has one of the best squads in the country and he is only going to spend big if he finds a player who can significantly improve what he already has at his disposal.
In the meantime it is up to the club's next generation to prove they can save the club plenty of money in the years ahead.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Tottenham fans thought of Oakley-Boothe's latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
Our youngsters impressed some tried too hard to , but on rating them all I thought Oakley-boothe kept it simple thus an error free 45— Paul Angus (@theladdiePA) July 23, 2017

Poch doesn't seem to trust Onomah in central midfield. Oakley Boothe looks promising. Janssen, the same old Janssen. Need a new striker.— IZ Reloaded (@izreloaded) July 23, 2017
Not that he got much of the ball but Oakley-Boothe seemed decent, so young (17) didn't do anything wrong & pretty quick for CM. Positive.— TottenhamTalk (@tottenhamtalk1) July 23, 2017
I didnt realise that when PSG went down to 10 men so did we, forgot Oakley-Boothe was even playing— Matt (@harrywinksfc) July 23, 2017

Oakley-Boothe looks very confident already. Great to see someone so young on the tour. Can learn from watching Dembele/Winks vs top players.— Nikhil Saglani (@Nikhil_Saglani) July 23, 2017
