Will Leeds United finish in the top six of the Championship next season?

Leeds United have been quite busy so far this summer. Massimo Cellino has left the club, and Andrea Radrizzani has become the new chairman.

The Whites also have a new manager in charge. Following the departure of Garry Monk, who is now at Championship rivals Middlesbrough, the West Yorkshire outfit appointed Thomas Christiansen earlier this summer.

The Championship club have made a number of new signings in the summer transfer window so far. Goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald, midfielder Mateusz Klich, defender Matthew Pennington (on loan from Everton) and attacker Samuel Saiz are among the players who have joined Leeds.

Leeds were in the running for the Championship playoffs last season until the final weeks, but they ended up just outside the top six, and the Elland Road faithful will expect the team to challenge for the playoffs again in 2017-18.

Did Leeds need to make so many signings this summer? After all, the Whites finished just five points behind sixth-placed Fulham in the Championship last season.

League One club Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony was asked on social networking site Twitter if Leeds will get promoted, to which he gave the following reply:
