Report: West Ham United want Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere only on loan

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is reportedly wanted by West Ham United, Newcastle United and Swansea City in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United want to sign Jack Wilshere from Arsenal only on loan, according to The Telegraph.

According to the report, due to Wilshere’s injury record and the fact that he is recovering from a broken leg, West Ham are interested only in a loan deal at the moment.

The report has also claimed that Welsh outfit Swansea City are interested in signing the 25-year-old midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal's Jack Wilshere warms up before the game

Newcastle United want the Arsenal midfielder as well, according to The Telegraph, which also claims that the England international earns £90,000 per week at the Gunners.

Wilshere is a good player and has a lot of potential, but one can understand why West Ham (reportedly) want him only on a loan deal.

Arsenal's Jack Wilshere looks dejected

With Arsenal reportedly demanding as much as £20m for the Englishman, it would be a massive risk on the part of the Hammers to splash that much cash on a player who is injury-prone.

If Arsenal do not see any future for Wilshere at the Emirates Stadium, then they should be open to the idea of letting him leave on loan or reduce their asking price for a permanent transfer.
