Sam Clucas is ready to join the Hull City exodus - and Newcastle United are one of five clubs hoping to prise him away according to The Mirror [21 July, page 56].
Hull are said to want £12 million for the winger but it is claimed that will not scare off Rafa Benitez's side, nor will it Stoke City, Swansea City, Leicester City and Burnley.
If the bookmakers' latest odds are anything to go by, Newcastle are currently leading the race with odds of 1/3 to sign Clucas before September [Sky Bet] - with Swansea [16/1] their closest competitors.

"I know there will be more in the coming months, but it's the press' thing. I focus on football and decide if Betis accept an offer, then I will think if it is good for me."
Durmisi also expressed his surprise at the £18 million price tag allegedly place on his head.
"We will see what has happened by the end of the transfer window but at the moment I am here and I will do everything to work hard like I always do."
