The highly-talented youngster would be an exceptional signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs fans are growing impatient with their club's lack of activity in the transfer market, especially after the recent £50 million plus windfall they received from Manchester City for the services of Kyle Walker.
Mauricio Pochettino guided his side to a successful Premier League campaign last term, despite their ultimate disappointment of being pipped to the league title by fierce rivals Chelsea.
The Argentine must ensure that he strengthens his side accordingly, however, if he is to achieve success on all fronts this season.
Tottenham fans desperately crave a marquee signing, and it could be argued that a superstar player is all that separates them from major success both domestically and on the continent.
Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele in action
With this in mind, the Lilywhites should consider a move for Borussia Dortmund's outstanding talent Ousmane Dembele, who is attracting interest from Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea, according to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The 20-year-old was in sensational form for the German outfit last season, registering six goals and 12 assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances.
He can play in a variety of different positions, including both flanks, the number 10 role and as an orthodox centre-forward. He possesses blistering pace, and exceptionally high stamina levels, which makes him an archetypal Pochettino signing.
The one problem for Spurs will be the extortionate amount of money that they would have to pay to secure his services - probably well in excess of £50 million, but with the money in the bank form Walker's sale, now must be the time for Daniel Levy and co to back Pochettino to the hilt.
Dembele would add a certain level of potency to Tottenham's attacking play, and the thought of him lining up alongside Harry Kane and Dele Alli would be a frightening one for opposing defenders.
And if Pochettino can somehow manage to bring the Frenchman to north London, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the club's future.
