Middlesbrough broke their transfer record last night to clinch a move for striker Britt Assombalonga.
The Nottingham Forest forward signed in a deal worth £14 million, with the club announcing the transfer on their official website.

It is a big coup for new Boro boss Garry Monk, taking his overall spend to almost £30 million this summer, with Martin Braithwaite and Jonny Howson among the players brought in.
Monk is under pressure to lead Boro to win instant promotion - and from a personal perspective he needs to show he was right to walk out on Leeds United, having led the Whites to seventh last season.
With that one move he went from a hugely popular manager at Leeds to a figure of derision - but Middlesbrough fans believe the spending spree entirely justifies his choice.
Commenting on Twitter after the Assombalonga deal was secured, Middlesbrough fans could not resist having a jab at Leeds supporters, backing new boss Monk and taunting them that he made the right decision.

Garry Monk foaming at the mouth, there. Bloody Leeds beating us to all of our number 1 targets! Grrrrr....— Jonny Boro (@Jonny_Boro) July 17, 2017
The spending makes Monk's job easier at Middlesbrough, but it also adds to the pressure and he will need to get off to a fast start.

Aston Villa showed last season that simply throwing money around does not guarantee results, as they did not get near to challenging for a play-off place.
Leeds fans also were quick to offer their views on social media after Middlesbrough's Assombalonga deal, suggesting the money was a key factor in Monk's decision.
No wonder Garry Monk jumped ship for Boro, Gibson absolutely chucking money about #lufc— Joe Orrell (@Joe_O90) July 17, 2017
A move #lufc do not have the desire or ability to finance. If we were looking for a reason why Monk left..— ᴊʙ (@james_butler08) July 17, 2017
And there is the reason why Garry Monk left us for Boro. £15 million on one player. It's so much easier for him to get promoted with them.— Ben Smith (@BenSmith_7) July 17, 2017
