Cardiff City have signed Lee Tomlin from Bristol City. Meanwhile, the Cardiff City supporters have been voicing their approval of the signing on social media.

Cardiff City's seventh signing of the summer was completed last week when Lee Tomlin signed for Cardiff City on a three-year deal, according to Wales Online.

Speaking exclusively to I Follow Cardiff City, Tomlin explained: "I want to get get back to the Premier League and I feel I can do that here. I know a lot of the lads here already which makes things even easier for me ahead of travelling down to Cornwall next week."

Neil Warnock was delighted to bring the former Rushden and Diamonds player to Cardiff City and said: "His creativity is second to none and we want to give him the platform to use that. This is the right atmosphere for him [Tomlin] to revel in."

Tomlin scored six goals and made five assists for Bristol City last season, when he played in attack with Tammy Abraham.

The Bristol Post reports that Tomlin's form did not live up to expectations at Bristol City, and he was beginning to get left out of starting line-ups by the end of the season.

Warnock will need Tomlin to get into double figures next season if Cardiff are to challenge for the top places in the Championship and the player is capable of that.

So a move for Tomlin will be another chance for the striker who has been in and out of teams at AFC Bournemouth and Bristol City, following his good form at Middlesbrough.

That does not worry Cardiff fans though who believe they have a player that will be a terrific signing for them.
