Sheffield Wednesday need defensive reinforcements and have offered an opportunity to highly-rated Wealdstone youngster Ciaron Brown.
It is no secret that central defenders are badly needed at Sheffield Wednesday.
Carlos Carvalhal’s side managed to reach the play-offs despite operating with just Tom Lees and Glenn Loovens to pick from for the majority of last season. But it’s fair to say they could do with a few more options at the heart of the back line; especially now that Vincent Sasso has left for Belenenses.

Therefore, Wednesday will be hoping that young Ciaron Brown manages to display his vast potential during a trial with the club. According to West London Sport, the highly-rated Wealdstone defender has been offered the chance to earn a permanent deal with the Championship club after making his name in non-league.
Equally comfortable at centre-half or left-back, Brown impressed as Wealdstone finished eighth in the National League South last season.
And his manager believes there is no reason why he can’t make the grade higher up the footballing pyramid.
“Ciaron is more than capable of making the step up having made consistent progress,” Gordon Bartlett told West London Sport.
And Brown will now have an opportunity to prove that he is worthy of an exciting move to one of the Championship’s biggest clubs. In an ideal world, the 20-year-old will pass his trial with flying colours and provide youthful back-up to Lees and Loovens at Hillsborough next season.
