Report outlines similarity between Moussa Sissoko and Olivier Giroud future plans

Arsenal's Olivier Giroud looks dejected

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and the Arsenal striker reportedly want to remain in the Premier League.

Moussa Sissoko and Olivier Giroud may be on the books of two different clubs at the moment, but it seems that the situations of the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and the Arsenal striker are similar.

While Sissoko struggled to play regularly for Tottenham last season, his France international teammate lost his place in the Arsenal starting lineup during the 2016-17 campaign.

According to The London Evening Standard, Spurs are willing to allow the 27-year-old midfielder to leave in the summer transfer window despite signing him from Newcastle United only in the summer of 2016; Marseille are claimed to be interested.

Giroud recently admitted to The Mirror that he is considering leaving Arsenal this summer following the signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon, with French side Marseille reported to be interested in the 30-year-old.

Foot Mercato has claimed that despite interest from Marseille, the priority of Sissoko and Giroud is not to return to Ligue 1 but to remain in the Premier League.

Given that the Premier League is a much better and richer domestic league than Ligue 1, one can understand why the Tottenham midfielder and the Arsenal striker would want to carry on playing their club football in England.
