Leeds United fans react to Aden Flint rumours on Twitter

The 28-year-old sparked rumours about him joining Leeds United on Friday.

Bristol City centre-back Aden Flint made Leeds United fans quite excited on Friday by 'liking' a tweet about him joining the Elland Road club.

Leeds are in the market for a centre-half this summer as Giuseppe Bellusci looks bound for PAOK Salonika according to Calciomercato, while the re-signing of Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley looks unlikely following a fine loan stint in Yorkshire last term.

As it stands, Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson are the Whites' only recognised central defenders, but is the Bristol man headed for United?

That remains to be seen, though the Daily Mail did report this week that the Championship club are looking for around £4 million for the 6'5 defender, who has started 90 of a possible 92 league matches in England's second tier over the last two seasons.

He is extremely reliable, even if the link about him moving to Leeds is not, but a lot of United fans would love to see him alongside Jansson next season in any case.

Flint, who remarkably scored 15 League One goals from defence in the 2014-15 season, clearly knows where the net is, and has bagged 11 Championship goals since their promotion two years ago.

He is contracted to City until 2020.
