Leeds are closing in on another signing.
Machuca plays for Rayo Vallecanco, and it is reported that the club have given permission for Machuca to travel to sign with Leeds.
Machuca is part of Rayo's youth team, and it is reported that he will link up with Leeds' under-23 squad rather than the first team.
Leeds have already added youngster Madger Gomes from Liverpool to the under-23 ranks this summer after he was released by the Reds.
Machuca is a midfielder whose contract Rayo had been hoping to extend, before Leeds' interest gave them the incentive to cash in.
The 19-year-old is described by sports agency Media Base Sport as, "a footballer that can play both as a wing or as an offensive midfielder. He is very skilled when dribbling and has a powerful kick.
"He frequently launches from the right side and challenges the defender in the one on one using his left foot (he is a lefty). Very difficult to stop when he is dribbling at top speed."
The Whites have a strong Spanish connection with technical director Victor Orta, board member Ivan Bravo and manager Thomas Christiansen all hailing from the country.
