Adama Traore has been at the centre of transfer speculation in the last week, with the Daily Mail reporting that Newcastle United hold an interest in the Middlesbrough man.
The former Barcelona winger failed to score a goal for Boro last season, but the report suggests they still value him too highly to accept a cut-price departure.
Perhaps if Garry Monk was able to recruit a cheap replacement, Traore could move on, allowing the Teesside club to still turn a profit.
And Boro might have found their man in Liverpool's Sheyi Ojo, with Sky Sports reporting he is set for a loan move to the Riverside.
The report claims Newcastle were also in for Ojo, but the Reds are currently favouring a move to their north east rivals and, while that might again make Traore an option for Rafa Benitez's side, Boro would arguably enjoy the better end of the deal.
Ojo is over a year younger than Traore and has proven so far, in his short career, that he can have an impact in the final third. The Spanish winger, on the other hand, has not.
Traore impressed last term for Boro without really threatening to turn a game in their favour in the same way Ojo inspired England to a semi-final victory over Italy in the U20 FIFA World Cup.
Boro fans surely will not miss their current man's exciting displays should Ojo hit form in the Championship.
