Tottenham are reportedly back in for Kamil Glik.

Polish website Sport.pl report Tottenham Hotspur have made a significant offer to Kamil Glik to try and tempt him to sign from Monaco.

Monaco are attempting to sign Glik to an extended deal, and have offered Glik a contract worth 3.5 million Euros (£3.1m) per year.

Sport.pl report Tottenham have offered a superior amount, letting Glik know they are prepared to pay him 4 million Euros (£3.5 million) per year.

Despite the improved offer, Glik is not instantly swayed by the prospect of moving to Spurs.

Tottenham have been tracking the Polish international since 2015 when he was playing for Italian Serie A side Torino.

Sport.pl report Monaco are determined not to sell the centre-back, meaning Spurs would have to hope the defender becomes insistent on a move.

Glik is 29 so does not fit the profile of younger players Spurs are used to making moves for.

The defender played in 36 Ligue 1 games last season as Monaco won the title, scoring six goals. He also appeared in 10 Champions League games, netting once.

Tottenham's best chance to sign him may have already been and gone.
