The Stoke City forward would be a useful addition to the West Ham United squad this summer.

Popular bookmakers SkyBET have dramatically slashed the odds on the Hammers winning the race to sign Potters forward Marko Arnautovic, listing Slaven Bilic’s side as the new favourites.

The Austrian international has performed well for Stoke, since joining the club from Werder Bremen in the summer of 2013, scoring 26 goals and chipping in with 32 assists in 145 outings.

The 28-year-old can play anywhere along the front-line, although he is arguably most effective when deployed in the left wing role.

Arnautovic possess superb technique, and has the ability to change a game at the drop of a hat.

And, in a move that seems to have come out of nowhere, SkyBET believe that he could be plying his trade at the London Stadium this season, making West Ham the new 5/2 favourites to sign the Austrian, cutting them in from 20/1.

The Stoke man still has three years remaining on his current deal at the BET365 Stadium, so the Hammers’ board will surely have to dig deep in order to bring him to east London this summer.

If Bilic does end up signing Arnautovic though, it could be a real statement of intent from the Croatian.
