Everton have been boosted by a report from The Sun which claims that Swansea City star Gylfi Sigurdsson would favour a move to the Toffees over joining Leicester City.
The Iceland playmaker is heavily linked with a move away from Swansea and it does not look like he will be plying his trade in South Wales next season.
According to The Mail, Everton are poised to lodge £32 million bid for the former Tottenham man, having already seen a £25 million offer knocked back by City.
If he joins the Goodison Park side for that amount then it would make him the club's most expensive ever signing.
Although Leicester City are also interested, The Sun claim that Sigurdsson would prefer to join Everton if the alternative was a switch to the King Power Stadium.
The 27-year-old scored nine goals and set up another 13 in 37 Premier League games last season.
He would be a fine addition for Everton and one who could really help the likes of reported target Wayne Rooney and new striker Sandro Ramirez find goals next season.
