Walcott’s future at Arsenal has fallen into some doubt, due to Arsene Wenger’s spending plans.
Arsenal are expected to add a new forward this summer, which could leave Walcott’s first-team chances.
And West Ham are now believed to be wanting to sign the England international for £25 million.
However, Hammers fans do not seem to be united over whether Walcott would be a good addition.
While some West Ham fans believe he would be an upgrade on what they have, others are worried by the England international’s injury record.
Absolutely cannot understand the hate if West Ham bid for Walcott. He'd be a great fit and would WALK in to the Hammers first team.— Sam Inkersole (@Sam_InkersoleTM) June 25, 2017
No but I'd take Antonio and Ayew over spending £25m on Walcott 100% of the time. And if Lanzini isnt a winger than his stats are even better— WHU Scott (@whuscott) June 25, 2017
A lot of it is his injury record. Given the probems we have its a risk to add another injury prone player to our squad. Great player tho— Darren (@daz1992) June 25, 2017
Be a top signing but 25M is a lot of money only do it after we have a striker sorted— Chris (@chriscod1993) June 25, 2017
Got nothing against Walcott thibk his a decent player but he like sturridge is injury prone which does worry me @ 25m.— Adam Whiddett 父 (@whidderz) June 25, 2017
Walking sick note We've got enough of them. Can't afford to waste wages on players like that. If he wasn't so injury prone, would love him— Jacko ⚒ Hammer (@hammer_jacko) June 25, 2017
Walcott and Carroll in the same team. All we need is Sturridge and Wilshire to complete the set #WestHamWay— rob (@Rob_WHU) June 25, 2017
Wouldn't say no to Walcott sort of player who could win fans over— Steve (@Steve_WHU_) June 25, 2017
I would personally want Theo Walcott, some fans think we can atteact bigger players than we can, would probably only pay £20m though— Freddie (@FreddieWHU_) June 25, 2017
Walcott & Giroud would defo be an improvement to West Ham let's be real here......— Cess (@Cess_WHU) June 25, 2017
Walcott scored 19 goals in 37 appearances for Arsenal last season, across all competitions.
West Ham are yet to make a new signing over the summer so far, but are expected to be active in the coming weeks.
