Sheffield United's pursuit of transfer targets Ricky Holmes and Ryan Leonard looks set to continue until both players return to pre-season training at least.
Holmes and Leonard, who play for Charlton Athletic and Southend United respectively, have been on the Blades' radar for some time, but despite offers being lodged for both, as yet, no agreement has been made.

However, the Sheffield Star reports that the duo have their hearts set on a move to Bramall Lane and will look to force that to happen if it comes to it.
Holmes has refused the improved terms that Charlton have offered him to keep the forward at the Valley as he wants to reunite with manager Chris Wilder, with the two winning promotion together from League Two in 2015/16 when they were at Northampton Town.
Leonard, meanwhile, has become increasingly unhappy with Southend for blocking his own switch to South Yorkshire and it seems as if he may have to force the issue as well.
Wilder has already been busy in the transfer market this summer as he prepares for life in the Championship with United, signing Nathan Thomas, Enda Stevens, Ched Evans and George Baldock.
