Leeds United face competition for the signature of Lugano’s Ezgjan Alioski.
According to the Bergamo Post, Atalanta and Basel are vying with Leeds United in the race to sign Lugano winger Ezgjan Alioski.
Alioski, 25, had been playing as a left back before ex-Lugano boss Zdenek Zeman turned him into a winger – and that switch has paid dividends for Alioski.

The Macedonian international racked up a stunning 17 goals and 14 assists for Lugano last season, and his incredible statistics have unsurprisingly triggered major interest in his signature.
Earlier this week, Corriere Del Ticino reported that Alioski was edging towards a move to Leeds United, with new manager Thomas Christiansen seemingly moving to boost his options out wide.

Now, Bergamo Post report that Atalanta have joined the race for Alioski’s signature – and also claim that Swiss champions Basel are also interested in signing the winger this summer.
With speculation surrounding the future of star winger Alejandro Gomez, the Serie A side are looking at potential signings who could replace him, and Alioski is one player to have caught their attention.

Meanwhile, Basel – who again won the Swiss title at a canter – are regularly in the market for the best players in Switzerland, and Alioski certainly fits that bill.
As a result, Leeds must move quickly if they want to land Alioski. A move to Italy’s top flight could be appealing, whilst Basel can also offer him Champions League football next season, meaning the Whites could face a real battle to sign the Macedonian this summer.
