Newcastle United attacker Siem de Jong wants to remain at the club, according to The Chronicle.
It has been reported that De Jong wants one last chance to be a success at Newcastle after returning from a season-long loan spell at Dutch club PSV.
The 28-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward, will return to pre-season training, and it has been reported that he wants to impress manager Rafael Benitez in the summer.
Newcastle, though, may still listen to offers for the Netherlands international, according to the report, which claims that the Magpies paid Ajax a transfer fee of £6 million to sign the attacker in the summer of 2014.
De Jong is a very talented attacking player, but the Netherlands international has struggled with fitness issues ever since his move to Newcastle back in 2014.
Newcastle will play in the Premier League next season after getting automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
