Nottingham Forest may be given an option as to how they can find a new home for Lica, the winger who has failed to settle at the City Ground.

The 28-year-old signed for the Reds from Porto in the summer of 2016, but played just seven times for the Championship club before he was back in Portugal with Estoril on loan.

That deal ends this summer, but Portuguese publication A Bola reports that the Primeira Liga outfit are keen on bringing the forward back for another term.

While no agreement has yet been made, Estoril manager Pedro Emanuel has made the signing of Lica one of his main priorities in the close season.

Forest unfortunately won't be able to get the attacker of their books entirely with another loan move likely to be the offer, but with his contract up in 2018 this would at least take him right up to then.

It has certainly not been a happy time in England for Lica, who aside from a one-year stint with Rayo Vallecano, has played the rest of his career exclusively in Portugal and has one senior international cap.
