Genoa are preparing for life without star stopper Mattia Perin. He looks to be on his way to AC Milan this summer, whose current number one Gianluigi Donnarumma could be on the way out.
With that in mind they have Crotone goalkeeper Alex Cordaz in their sights, but are also considering the English-based pair.
CalcioMercato report that the Sunderland and Villa stoppers are also being targeted.
Sunderland's Vito Mannone celebrates
Mannone will be a hard buy. He could be Sunderland’s number one stopper next season after the departure of Jordan Pickford to Everton. He may want to remain with the Black Cats.
Pierluigi Gollini of Aston Villa applauds the fans after the game
Gollini on the other hand would surely be keen on a move. He was signed by Roberto Di Matteo at Villa Park, but his predecessor Steve Bruce is clearly not a fan. The 22-year-old spent the second part of last season on loan with Atalanta and is set to remain there again next season. A permanent switch to Genoa though would be appealing.
But it will be interesting to see if Mannone and Gollini remain in England beyond the summer.
