Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha
Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has told the club's official website that he is happy to have added striker Alfredo Morelos to his squad this evening.
The Gers had made five summer signings by landing Bruno Alves, Fabio Cardoso, Ryan Jack, Daniel Candeias and Dalcio, but that number has risen to six with the deal for Morelos.

Having sold Joe Garner to Ipswich Town, Rangers had to bring in another striker, and they have decided to snap up Morelos from Finnish side HJK Helsinki after he was granted a work permit.
Morelos, 20, was on the books with Independiente Medellin in his native Colombia before moving on to HJK in 2016, and his goalscoring exploits in Finland triggered interest from Rangers.
The striker smashed 40 goals in just 54 games for HJK, and he has now earned a three-year contract with Rangers as Caixinha looks to boost his attacking options ahead of the new season.

After sealing the move earlier today, manager Caixinha spoke to the club's official website about Rangers' latest addition, heaping praise on Morelos.
Caixinha was delighted to add a promising young striker with a 'fantastic' goalscoring record, noting that he not only has bags of potential but is also a versatile option across the front line.
Caixinha also added that Rangers coach Jonatan Johansson was the one to recommend a deal for Morelos, with the former Finland international calling on his knowledge of football in his homeland to convince Caixinha to snap up Morelos.
Jonatan Johansson celebrates scoring for Rangers
“Alfredo is a young and talented Colombian player,” said Caixinha. “He is only 20-years old but he has a fantastic goal scoring record in Finland, although the level is not as high as you have it in Scotland. He was recommended to us by Jonatan Johansson and now he is with us and we believe he is going to help us. We believe he has a lot to learn to keep progressing with his capabilities and his potential. But, he is a player who can score goals, and someone like that is always amazing to have in your squad.”
“He is a player who can act in several positions in the attack. He can play alone as number nine, he can play as the second striker, he can play as a double nine and he can also play in the wide areas. He is a powerful player who, if you attack with less space, he can find space, and vice versa. We want to have different options, and, once again the human side of the player needs to be present.”
“JJ, like all the assistants, are people who need to have all the confidence and the trust from myself. All the time that JJ or the others present something to me, I need to have a look at it and I need to trust and believe in all of them. He had a very important role in all of this. He identified the player, he followed the player, he tracked the player and he is Finnish so he has many contacts back there, so he knows everything about him,” he added.
