The Everton man seems like he's heading back to Spain.
The 23-year-old started only four Premier League games for Everton last season, before manager Ronald Koeman sanctioned a loan to AC Milan.
Four goals in 16 Serie A starts prompted suggestions that he would return to Goodison Park and start afresh under the Dutch boss next season.
But The Star claims that Barcelona - who sold him to the Toffees in 2015 during Roberto Martinez's reign on Merseyside - have activated a buy-back clause in his contract and he will be part of Ernesto Valverde's plans at Camp Nou next term.
If true, the Spanish playmaker, who managed eight goals and 16 assists in 76 matches for the Premier League side, will join the Primera Division giants for £10.5 million - and Everton fans could not care less by the sound of things.
Not arsed in the slightest if Deulofeu leaves. Another one who flatters to deceive. Next.— Ste (@StavEFC) June 19, 2017
Arsed about Deulofeu. Headless chicken, always will be. Shocked they want him back— Dom (@EFCDom1878) June 19, 2017
Can't quite figure why Barca want him though— Kev Lad (@MrKevLad) June 19, 2017
and he ain't worth half that. He might turn out to be quality in years to come but for us he was a greedy spoilt brat— matt jones (@awesompjones) June 19, 2017
What an even bigger waste for his career at this juncture— Dave (@SeahawkBlue81) June 19, 2017
So Deulofeu back to Barca. Did some extraordinary things but ultimately failed to cut it. Decent fee for someone not in Koeman's plans. #EFC— Ell Bretland (@EllBretland) June 19, 2017
Too lazy for the premiership, probably do well as sub in spain where there are only 4 decent teams— Dave b (@Davebefc) June 18, 2017
Deulofeu, who originally joined Everton on loan in the 2013-14, looked a class act at times, but Martinez's exit last summer did not do the Spaniard any huge favours.
