Leeds United's Chris Wood celebrates after scoring their second goal
While there has been nothing concrete coming from either club, Sky Bet still believes that Crystal Palace are strong candidates to sign Leeds United striker Chris Wood this summer.
The bookmakers have the Eagles at 14/1 to land the Championship's topscorer in 2016/17, which only puts them behind newly promoted Huddersfield Town (6/1) and Middlesbrough (8/1).
Currently without a manager, Palace are probably holding off on deals until the new boss outlines their plans, but on the face of it would a move for Wood be a good one?
The New Zealand international is certainly in good form, scoring 30 goals in 48 matches in all competitions over the past 12 months.
At 25-years-old, Wood is also still relatively young and has the potential to develop and improve even further as he enters the peak of his career.

However, the Eagles already have a superior option upfront in Christian Benteke and with the two forwards operating in a similar style, the prospect of playing the two together seems an unlikely one.
Wood also has limited experience in the Premier League, playing nine times in the top flight for Leicester City, and there are doubts over whether he could make the step up on a consistent basis.
