Citadel analyst dead at 40

Bloomberg News reports that Reed Schwandt, an analyst at Citadel’s Surveyor Capital unit, has died. He was 40.

Schwandt collapsed while jogging on June 10 near his home in Darien, Connecticut, according to a GoFundMe page set up in his memory for his children’s education.

“We are deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of our colleague and friend Reed Schwandt," a Citadel spokeswoman said in an emailed statement. "He was highly talented, deeply respected and well-liked throughout the firm. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Reed’s wife, their children and his entire family.”
