Forest, who feature in the Championship in England, have signed Cummings from Scottish club Hibernian on a three-year contract.
As reported by BBC Sport, Cummings scored 23 goals in 39 appearances for Hibernian during the 2016-17 campaign.
Forest Celtic striker Sutton, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, has taken to Twitter to give his verdict on Cummings’s move to Forest.
@chris_sutton73 you reckon Cummings will do well at Forrest then Chris? Natural goal scorer so I think he will.— Ross Grieve (@caithnesshibee) June 18, 2017
Very talented player but needs to apply himself and show greater consistency. I hope Hibs are given the funds to replace him https://t.co/Voo1Dh6fsd— Chris Sutton (@chris_sutton73) June 18, 2017
Cummings is a very promising and talented young striker, and he is only going to improve in the coming years.
It could take a while for the 21-year-old to adapt to the Championship, as the second tier of English football is tougher and more competitive than the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Championship.
