Fulham's summer transfer dealings took a hit recently as one of their targets, Arsenal midfielder Dan Crowley, is leaning towards a loan move in Europe as opposed to moving to Craven Cottage on a temporary basis, as reported by Football London.

The 19-year-old excelled on loan in the 2016/17 season with Go Ahead Eagles in the Eredivisie, with two goals and two assists in 16 appearances, though Crowley's efforts weren't enough to keep the club in the Dutch top flight as they were relegated.

Arsenal will loan the player out again this season to aid Crowley's development, and Fulham are interested in bringing him into the fold as the Whites push for promotion to the Premier League, but it seems Crowley would rather experience a spell in Europe again.

The same Football London report claims that Bundesliga 2 side Hannover 96 want to take him to Germany, while there are also several other unnamed German and Dutch clubs keen to sign the player as well, meaning Crowley will have quite a bit of choice as to where he ends up.

The midfielder is out of contract at the end of 2018 however, and could have one last chance to earn a new deal with Arsenal, where he was expected to break through and make a name for himself in the same way Jack Wilshere did.

As for Fulham, they will want to build from their sixth placed finish in the Championship and push for automatic promotion, as they seek to return to the Premier League since their relegation in 2014.
