Celtic should consider a move for Amin Younes.

Celtic have made their move to sign winger Jonny Hayes from Aberdeen, but their summer recruitment should not end there.

They aim to re-sign last season's loanee Patrick Roberts but face a tough task with 12 other clubs keen on signing the winger, according to BBC Sport.

As they consider alternatives, one player who should be on their radar is 23-year-old Ajax winger Amin Younes.

What's his record?

Younes played regularly for Ajax last season, scoring seven goals in all competitions and providing 13 assists.

Four of these goals came in nine Europa League matches as the Dutch side reached the final.

He has played against Celtic before, starring in a 2-1 victory at Celtic Park in November 2015.

The winger is a German international, making his debut earlier this year and has one goal in two games to his name.

What's his situation?

Younes has one year left on his contract at Ajax and his future is unclear.

He has been quoted admitting while he is content to stay, he is also open to offers.

Tuttomercatoweb report his statement: "I would love to stay at Ajax but if they receive important offers, I will consider them."

Transfermarkt list his current transfer value at £5.95 million, a fee within Celtic's price range as they look to improve their team for next season.

Why could it happen?

Not only is Younes' contract situation uncertain, his role next season is also in a state of flux.

Ajax boss Peter Bosz quit to take up a new job at Borussia Dortmund, and Marcel Keizer has taken over.

The time could be right for Younes to move on, if Brendan Rodgers can convince him to swap Holland for Scotland.
