Liverpool have entered the race to sign Monaco ace Thomas Lemar, according to French outlet Telefoot.

SkyBet have Tottenham as clear favourites to sign Lemar at 10/11, with rivals Arsenal following at 9/2.

Telefoot's report claims Liverpool are one of four teams who have now expressed interest in Lemar, along with Arsenal, Tottenham, and Italian champions Juventus.

Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was coy last week when quizzed after France's international fixture if he had been trying to persuade Lemar to join him at Tottenham, The Telegraph reported.

Lemar scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists last season, a prolific campaign as he helped Monaco win the Ligue 1 title and reach the Champions League semi-finals.

Liverpool have been pushing to sign Roma's Mohamed Salah but have been unable to reach an agreement for the winger so far. Lemar is a quality alternative for the Reds to be considering.

Calciomercato report that Liverpool could still move for Lemar in addition to Salah.
