Fulham want as much as £7 million in order to part company with Nottingham Forest target Kevin McDonald, according to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 63, June 18, 2017).

According to the report, Forest manager Mark Warburton is willing to pay £3m in order to sign the 28-year-old midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Fulham, though, have slapped a £7m price-tag on the former Scotland Under-21 international to fend off the Reds’ interest in him, claims the report.

The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 63, June 18, 2017) has reported that the Cottagers do not want to sell McDonald to a direct rival.

McDonald is a very good midfielder who scored three goals and provided three assists in 45 Championship appearances for Fulham last season.

The former Sheffield United and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder knows the Championship inside out, and he would be a good signing for Forest in the summer transfer window.

Both Fulham and Forest will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship next season.
