Swansea City's Alfie Mawson celebrates after the match
Central defence is one area where Ronald Koeman will be looking to bring in quality players this summer.
It remains to be seen whether Koeman wants to add more than one centre-back to his squad, as Everton are also reportedly keen on signing Middlesbrough’s in-demand defender, Ben Gibson (The Sun).
Boro manager Garry Monk will try his best to persuade Gibson to stay at the Riverside club for one more season.
In case, they fail to convince him to stay put, the club would demand a high transfer fee between £20-30 million for the 24-year-old. (The Telegraph).
Everton should consider making a move for Swansea City’s highly talented defender Alfie Mawson, in case they fail to land either of Keane or Gibson.
The 23-year-old central defender made 27 Premier League appearances for the Swans in 2016/17, and scored four goals.
He is good at blocking and interception, but his key strength lies in passing. With 82.9% passing accuracy, according to whoscored.com, he has shown great ability in building an attack from the back.

Mawson is a promising and talented centre-back whose progress over the course of past 12 months has been simply remarkable.
Mawson is probably not yet ready to play week in week out for a Champions League club like Spurs, but he could be a handy addition to an ambitious team like Everton.
Given his talent, age, and the transfer fee, Everton should consider making a move for the Swansea defender this summer. He would represent a smart signing for the Toffees.
